LUGLOW WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

Jubaland Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, in partnership with UNICEF through funds from ECHO, is enhancing the Luglow water scheme to meet the present and future water demands of the service area. The ongoing efforts will attempt to address the water demand of the new settlement under the durable solution, exisitng IDP settlements and host communities.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROJECT-LUUQ

The Jubaland Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, in collaboration with UNICEF, is implementing an emergency water system in the Luuq district to assist populations affected by inter-clan conflicts. These ongoing efforts aim to meet the urgent water needs of those impacted by the recent clashes in the area.

The Ministry of Energy & Water Resources of Jubaland with support from the Somali Water and Land Information Management (SWALIM) project, supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), focuses on empowering Somali institutions to efficiently manage and utilize water and land resources.

BULA-HAJI EMERGENCY INTERVENTION

After the successful military operation by Jubaland state's forces, supported by Somali government soldiers, that Bulla-Haji town was reclaimed.  In response, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Jubaland dispatched technical engineers to assess the WASH needs and ensure access to clean and affordable water for the community and currently implementing Emergency WASH Project.

LUGLOW WATER INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM

In response to the pressing water needs of IDP camps and Luglow corridor regions, The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Jubaland Mobilized Partners to support the Community of Luglow , in response to the Ministry Appeal various humanitarian organizations have launched a collaborative effort to establish a robust and sustainable water infrastructure system. The Ministry took the lead and Directly Implemented the Construction of Shallow wells in Driven by support from UNICEF, the other Partners implemented Water systems in Luglow with collaboration with UNICEF also Include GSA, MEDAIR, SADO, ALIGHT, and RDSA, these initiatives aim to secure consistent water access, particularly for vulnerable populations affected by climate challenges and displacement.
