Project Overview

The Jubaland Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, in collaboration with UNICEF, is implementing an emergency water system in the Luuq district to assist populations affected by inter-clan conflicts. These ongoing efforts aim to meet the urgent water needs of those impacted by the recent clashes in the area.

Project Objectives

The aim of the project is to enhance access to clean and reliable water sources for communities affected by recent conflicts. This includes upgrading existing infrastructure, installing solar-powered systems, constructing new water points, and ensuring sustainable water supply connections.

The Project target Geographical Area is Luuq District, Gedo Region.
