Somali Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP C6b)
Project Overview
Ministry of Energy & Water Resources of Jubaland is implementing Somali Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP C6b) with fund support from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) International In the Jubaland State, the project is targeting 14 water points identified as top priorities for rehabilitation. These sites were selected based on a careful evaluation of the region's water needs, the severity of the damage caused by recent crises, and the limited budget allocated to the project. The selection process was guided by the urgency to restore access to clean and safe water, which is vital for the well-being of both communities and their livestock.
Project Objectives
The project aimed to achieve several objectives:
- Assess the current condition of these water points,
- Provide guidance for future infrastructure development or repairs,
- Identify existing water points in need of rehabilitation, and
- Offer recommendations for sustainable water resource management.
Project Geographic Coverage
The Project has target Geographical Area Selected upon need , There are 14 sites within Jubaland state
4 Districts (Kismayo, Dhobley, Afmadow and Batad hawo)

1. Implementation Plan
Detailed implementation and staffing plan have been developed for project smoth implementation.

Water Management committee Training have been conducted for all project sites.

Site selection including geo-referencing has been done in the project target locations.
